Sanborn Appoints New Vice President 3.31.04

James Curtin has been named vice president of business development and sales.

John Copple, CEO of Sanborn, a provider of geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial solutions, announced that he has named James Curtin vice president of business development and sales. In this newly-created position, Curtin will be responsible for overseeing growth through business development and sales for Sanborn's Colorado office.

Curtin comes to Sanborn from Calgary, Alberta Canada-based QC Data Inc., where he had a long tenure. Most recently, he served as vice president of business development responsible for building and managing the company's North American business development unit. Prior to that, he was a business development executive selling outsource programs in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He also served as general manager of the company's Cork, Ireland office and as manager of international programs providing operational and technical support for the company's management teams in Ireland and Mexico.

Curtin holds a bachelor of science degree in land use and environmental resource management from Metropolitan State College in Denver.
