Influential Analyst to Speak at Laser-Scan's User Event 05.16.2003

David Sonnen, IDC's Senior Analyst for spatial information management, will give a keynote presentation at the conference.

Laser-Scan is pleased to announce that David Sonnen, IDC's Senior Analyst for spatial information management, will give a keynote presentation at the 2003 Laser-Scan User and Partner Conference.

David will be joining a high-profile line up at the July event, which also includes representatives from Oracle and Ordnance Survey.

David's keynote address "Designing Geospatial Value into Information Systems: An ROI Methodology" will kick off the proceedings on the second day of the conference; the first day gets underway with a keynote from Adena Shutzberg from GIS Monitor.

Laser-Scan's Managing Director Dr Michael Sanderson commented:

"With industry heavyweights such as David, Adena and Oracle's Mike Turnill, this year's Conference is going to be extremely exciting. I'm looking forward to hearing their outlook on the place of spatial data in today's business as well as some lively discussions!"

David will be speaking on a similar topic at the prestigious Cambridge Conference for National Mapping Organisations, organised by Ordnance Survey, which takes place the following week (20-25 July). www.cambridgeconference2003.com .

David Sonnen has been involved in the spatial information management marketplace for more than 28 years and has been IDC's senior consultant for spatial information management since 1991. His IDC Spatial Information Management reports are widely regarded as the industry's most accurate and influential thought leadership and economic information.

Laser-Scan User and Partner Conference will be held on 17-18 July in Cambridge, UK. The comprehensive agenda offers presentations and interactive workshops on topics including:
