Blue Marble Geographics announced that they are celebrating ten years in business this month. Customer recognition has always been an important focus through the years, and Blue Marble will celebrate their 10th anniversary by awarding cash prizes to existing software users. Five customers who purchase geographic software between July 1st and August 31st, 2003 will be picked at random to win $50 gift certificates to L.L. Bean, another great Maine company.

Blue Marble is a leading developer of GIS software tools and solutions. Their technology is embedded in hundreds of GIS applications currently used by military, oil exploration, civil engineering, surveying, technology and corporate GIS systems.

Blue Marble Geographics was founded in July of 1993 by Jeff and Eva Cole. Jeff, a former executive of a leading commercial map publisher, had decided to go out on his own to create the coordinate conversion tool that became the Geographic Calculator. This software took off and Blue Marble grew in leaps and bounds. It wasn't long before Blue Marble software was being distributed globally and now is licensed in well over 60 countries. Today the company sells a suite of GIS applications, developer tools, an Internet Mapping solution, and GIS Professional Services. Some of their more popular products include the Geographic Calculator, Geographic Transformer, GeoCalc, GeoView, GeoObjects and the interactive on-line map service, BeyondGeo.

Today Blue Marble is the industry leader in coordinate conversion software with a truly global customer base. The company prides itself on having grown and succeeded with no outside funding and today is a profitable, debt free software company poised for a great second decade. "This company has been successful because it has always let the customer dictate the design and scope of our product offering," said Blue Marble Geographics Director of Business Development Patrick Cunningham. "We will continue to grow and be successful, and it will be because of communication with Blue Marble users."

Purchase Blue Marble software by August 31, 2003 and enroll yourself in this drawing. Visit us on the web at www.bluemarblegeo.com and www.beyondgeo.com.
