OMB administrator for E-government and information technology to launch geospatial one-stop portal today, Monday, June 30, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. EDT.

Geospatial One-Stop, one of the President’s E-Government initiatives, will be officially launching its new web site. The site will provide tools for greater intergovernmental collaboration and partnership for decision-making on key policy issues such as homeland security, environmental protection, and economic development.

Mark Forman, Administrator for E-Government and Information Technology at OMB; Robert Dix, Staff Director, Subcommittee on Technology, Information Policy, Intergovernmental Relations and the Census, Government Reform Committee, United States House of Representatives; Scott Cameron, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Performance and Management, U.S. Department of the Interior; Eric Conrad, Deputy Secretary of Field Operations, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection; and Hank Garie, Executive Director, Geospatial One-Stop Project will officially launch the site today, Monday, June 30, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. EDT. at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, Congressional Room A. This event will take place in conjunction with the Intergovernmental Policy Congress – Technology and Homeland Security.
