Weiler Mapping, a division of James W. Sewall Company, announced the promotion of Mat Andrews to GIS Project Manager. With a BA in Geology from Alfred University and training in GIS software, Mr. Andrews joined the firm as a GIS Analyst in 2000. Since then, he has developed comprehensive technical skills in tax map conversion and GIS project implementation, utilizing AutoCAD and ESRI ArcView, ArcIMS, and ArcGIS. He has designed personal geodatabases for county governments throughout New York State, programmed CAD to GIS conversion processes, and developed Web-based mapping, leading GIS research and development efforts at Sewall's Elmira office.

As GIS Project Manager, Mr. Andrews will manage a range of GIS consulting projects to support municipal clients in their efforts to manage critical infrastructure, economic development, environmental impacts, and emergency response. Under his supervision, a team of analysts, programmers, and senior technicians will integrate conversion and data maintenance processes with geodatabase and Internet mapping technologies, develop IMS and ArcGIS applications, and implement total quality management practices.
