Phase one of Calgary Integrated Assessment Office now completed.

The City of Calgary, Alberta has gone live with phase one of its assessment project with the successful rollout of a residential assessment solution using NovaLIS Technologies’ (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) Assessment Office. Assessment Office solution now provides complete integration between the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS), residential property appraisal, market regression analysis and court scheduling information systems. The Calgary Project will ultimately support all three approaches to value, sales, income, and cost, in a truly integrated way. CAMA data will be created, edited, analyzed and presented for review using innovative PC and GIS technologies. New technological innovations will also include e-commerce web capabilities, field computers, document and records management and digital photo images.

Calgary's focus has been to move from a decentralized mode to a shared system environment. Assessment Office will provide Calgary with the solution they need to achieve this integration, while better serving clients, and saving time and money. Prototyping for phase two (non-residential) of the project is nearing completion, and Phase three of the project will add the cost approach and full web data exchange and e-commerce facility.
