LAND INFO International drops prices for reconstruction efforts.

LAND INFO International, LLC, Denver, Colo., a leading provider of worldwide geospatial datasets and services, has reduced its pricing on select Afghanistan topographic maps, digital elevation models (DEM), and feature extraction layers (i.e. roads, hydrography). The special pricing is valid on orders placed by February 28, 2002. The February discounts include a 45 percent discount on 1:50,000 scale topographic maps. The digital datasets are fully geo-referenced to accommodate use with GPS, GIS and engineering applications. Much of the data can be shipped immediately. Data samples, specifications, and complete pricing details are available online at www.LANDINFO.com.

The special, limited time offer includes three dataset types that can be easily combined to create a multifaceted analysis tool. For example, the road layer, hydrography layer, DEM, and topographic map could be overlaid without accuracy concerns. This is possible since the feature layers and DEM are directly produced from the corresponding topographic map. The February promotional pricing includes the following geo-referenced datasets:

  • a.. 1:50,000, 1:100,000, & 1:200,000 scale topographic maps
  • b.. 30-meter and 3 arc-second DEMs
  • c.. Single feature or full vectorization of any scale topographic map (available features include contour elevations, roads, hydrography, political boundaries, buildings, etc.) LAND INFO International provides digital geospatial information of the world, including satellite imagery, 3D models, and topographic maps.
