Mary Wild appointed as Sanborn’s chief financial officer and Joan Powers as Sanborn’s controller.

Pankaj Desai, chief executive officer of Sanborn, a photogrammetric mapping and geographic information system (GIS) industry leader, today announced the appointment of Mary Wild as Sanborn’s chief financial officer and Joan Powers as Sanborn’s controller. The appointments are effective immediately.

As CFO, Mary Wild is responsible for managing finance functions for Sanborn’s multiple locations both in the United States and abroad. She is also responsible for financial reporting and cash management, and will work closely with Sanborn’s senior management team to assist with strategic planning, operating plans, and information technology.

A licensed CPA with more than two decades of experience, Ms. Wild joined Sanborn from Jeppesen Sanderson, a Denver-based international aviation information company owned by the Times Mirror Company.

As controller, Joan Powers is responsible for accounting, financial consolidation and reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and benefits at Sanborn. Ms. Powers, a licensed CPA, joins Sanborn from Wells Fargo, where she was director of finance.

Both Ms. Wild, who holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the MacIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and Ms. Powers, who graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Arizona, will be based in Sanborn’s Colorado Springs office.
