MoreESRI and Tele Atlas have launched the Tele Atlas Multinet data pack. The product is fully compatible with ESRI's ArcIMS Route Server extension.
The ArcIMS Route Server extension offers the ability to incorporate point-to-point driving directions and fast, accurate routing into Web sites built with ArcIMS. It can be used to calculate optimal routes based on time and distance and accommodates multiple stops along a route. Features include the ability to perform rapid cross-country routing, set routing preferences (highway preferences, shortest route, or fastest route), and use precision settings to fine-tune results. The ArcIMS Route Server extension is compatible with data that is specially optimized in spatial data compressed format for high-speed geocoding and routing.
Tele Atlas data was selected for the company's historic strength in building pathfinding and routing databases. Tele Atlas data provides exceptional positional accuracy and high geocoding match rates. Specially engineered for ArcIMS Route Server, the Tele Atlas Multinet data pack gives ArcIMS users the capability to add high-performance routing and directions for fleet management and logistics using Web site and Web services.
By integrating Tele Atlas data into the ArcIMS application, users will have access to an excellent map display, geocoding and reverse geocoding, and point-to-point driving directions. They will also be able to calculate optimal routes based on time and distance and adapt them for multiple stops along a route.
The ArcIMS Route Server extension and the Tele Atlas Multinet data pack are currently available from both ESRI and Tele Atlas and features U.S. nationwide street level coverage. It also includes Puerto Rico and Guam.
