Leica Geosystems announced the introduction of the Rod-Eye Classic hand-held laser sensor for general construction applications.

Leica Geosystems today announced the introduction of the Rod-Eye Classic hand-held laser sensor for general construction applications.

The new laser sensor features an LCD on both the front and rear for fast and easy visual reference, and has a working diameter of 2,500 ft. (750 m). It comes with a 24-month warranty.

The Rod-Eye Classic is designed to work well with any rotating laser, especially the rugged and industry-acclaimed Rugby series of lasers from Leica Geosystems.

The Rod-Eye Classic is the newest addition to the Rod-Eye family of sensors. Other products include the top-of-the-line Rod-Eye Pro with extremely accurate sensing bands and industrial deadband settings for special applications, and the entry-level Rod-Eye Mini, a small, simple sensor for the budget-conscious consumer.
