Rockware Releases RockWorks2002 06.11.2002

Adds 3D graphics and enhanced data managment to the RockWorks line of earth science software.

RockWare Inc. released RockWorks2002--the Geology Toolbox. RockWorks2002 features 3D graphics and a redesigned data management system in addition to the wide variety of geological utilities available in previous versions for less than $1000.

The newest release of RockWorks gives geoscientists in the environmental, mining and petroleum industries the ability to quickly visualize their subsurface data with the ease of use that they have come to expect from the RockWorks line of solutions. The addition of 3D graphics allows users to view deviated and inclined wells in three dimensions along with their contour maps, stratigraphic and solid models, fence diagrams, cross sections, or any combination of the above for greater understanding of their project area. The data management redesign gices geoscientists the flexibility to store all of their data in a simple and easy to access format--getting your data into the software has never been easier, and the available context-sensitive help is unrivaled in the industry.

In addition to the major enhancements described above, the new release offers a LogPlot2001 data import module, improved lithological modeling, additional contouring algorithms, and improvements in solid modeling.
