PlanGraphics Joins Oracle Homeland Security Partner Initiative 11.11.2002

PlanGraphics will leverage its hands-on experience gained in New York City in the aftermath of Sept. 11.

Working alongside many of the country's leading IT organizations, PlanGraphics Inc. will leverage its hands-on experience gained in New York City in the aftermath of Sept. 11 into other public sector organizations through its association with the Oracle Homeland Security Partner Initiative.

"PlanGraphics has an excellent track record in the development of geospatial applications-especially in state and local government," said Steve Cooperman, director of homeland security solutions for Oracle Corporation. "We are especially happy to have them join this exciting initiative given their expertise and successful track record in the development of Oracle Spatial applications at federal and local sites and in many utilities."

"The link between federal initiatives and local government first responders will be critical in the deployment of homeland security applications," commented Bruce Goldsmith, PlanGraphics vice president for strategic partnerships. "PlanGraphics' expertise in understanding data needs and operations of local government will play an important role to ensure the success of such initiatives. The focused Oracle Homeland Security Partner Initiative will expose PlanGraphics to other partners adopting similar high security, resilient, and scalable application architectures."

PlanGraphics will be presenting A Standard Information Architecture to Support Both the Enterprise and First Responders-Lessons Learned from the NYC Rescue and Recovery Effort at the Oracle-hosted Critical Solutions Partner Forum in Reston, Va., on Nov 7. The event, which will feature 65 Oracle Homeland Security partners, is co-sponsored by Government Technology magazine and the Center for Digital Government.
