WK Dickson Appoints a New Director of Surveying 5.12.04

Jeff Armstrong, PLS, assumes responsibility for all land surveying operations and will be responsible for directing much of the growth of the firm's geospatial services throughout the entire corporation.

WK Dickson & Co Inc. announced that Jeff Armstrong, PLS, has been named director of surveying for WK Dickson & Co. Inc. Armstrong assumes responsibility for all land surveying operations and will be responsible for directing much of the growth of the firm's geospatial services throughout the entire corporation. He will be based in the company's Raleigh, North Carolina office and report directly to David L. Peeler, president and CEO of WK Dickson.

Armstrong received his degree in Forest Resources Technology from Wayne Community College and also participated in comprehensive executive management training from the distinguished MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the University of North Carolina Flagler Business School. He is an expert in working with the federal government and has managed projects involving the US Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and FEMA in addition to dozens of state and municipal agencies within the southeastern United States.

Armstrong has held senior-level management positions throughout his career. Most recently he was senior vice president for Spectrum Mapping, LLC and played an integral part in establishing photogrammetric and surveying operations for five offices located throughout the U.S. His portfolio features a diverse range of projects including major highways, dams and reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants, and large residential developments.

Armstrong is a registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida as well as an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist. He remains active in the American Society for Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing, the North Carolina Society of Surveyors, and the Florida Surveyors Council.
