This MOU will enable Magnasoft to exploit Laser-Scan's Radius Topology product as part of its application and services business in India. Magnasoft will be able to explore further possibilities in the convergence of GIS with mainstream technologies.

Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Magnasoft, Mr S.Sridhar said: "We are looking forward to working with Laser-Scan as it offers a two-fold advantage to Magnasoft. We will be able to explore more opportunities in the convergence of GIS with mainstream technologies, we will also be able to offer more value-added services to our customers. This relationship will enable Laser-Scan to exploit our technical capabilities for its software development needs."

Magnasoft is a 2-million dollar company with 80 employees. Incorporated in 2000 in Bangalore, India, Magnasoft has a presence in the US, Europe and South Asia. Magnasoft has executed challenging GIS projects for prestigious Fortune 100 clients such as AT&T, 3COM, NIPSCO, Lucent Technologies, JEA among many others.

Duncan Guthrie, Laser-Scan's Sales and Marketing Director, said: "We are delighted to be working with Magnasoft. They are innovators in their field and we hope to develop new opportunities for Radius Topology with their extensive ability in solution provision throughout India."

Radius Topology extends the Oracle9i database and provides dramatic improvements to the speed and consistency of spatial data handling.
