Landform, Minneapolis, Minn., hired Michael E. Cannon as the principal land surveyor in its Minneapolis office. Cannon is a registered land surveyor and is responsible for all survey department operations in the Minneapolis and Phoenix offices. Cannon has over 22 years of professional experience and is registered in three states.
Gould Engineering, Flint, Mich., hired Gregory Lamkin in its Engineering Department as an entry level engineer. Lamkin is a recent graduate from Lawrence Technological University with a degree in civil engineering. Lamkin is the former assistant director of public works for the City of Romulus, Mich., where he supervised the permits & inspection office and sat on various technical committees for wastewater and stormwater management.
V3 Consultants Denver, Colo. hired Ned K. Wallace, PE, as residential services manager of its Colorado team. Wallace has over 20 years of experience working in Colorado on a variety of engineering projects. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Colorado Sate University and is a registered professional engineer.
Dewberry-Goodkind, Rutherford, N.J., introduced its New York management team: Theodore St. Germain, P.E., vice president and manager of New York operations; and Keith Itzler, P.E., senior associate and assistant branch manager. St. Germain is responsible for statewide administrative and technical functions of Dewberry-Goodkind’s offices in Manhattan and Rochester, and Itzler assists in the Manhattan office’s management, administration and technical functions.
James W. Sewall Company, Old Town, Me., announced that John A. Ferketic has joined the firm as director of geographic information technology services. With 21 years’ experience in the GIS industry, Ferketic is a nationally recognized expert in GIS implementation management for private and public sector organizations. During his career, he has supervised and performed every phase of GIS development from consulting and systems planning to software product development, data conversion and systems implementation. In his new role, Ferketic leads the company’s public sector GIS services group.
Francis C. Smith, chairman and CEO of Burgess & Niple LTD, announced that John D. Clarke Jr., LS, has been elected as an owner of the firm.
The Faculty of Forestry at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), Syracuse, N.Y., changed its name to better reflect its history and mission. It is now known as the Faculty of Forest and Natural Resources Management.
