The Board of Directors of GIS in the Rockies 2002 announces that the workshop program is expanded by four additional workshops. "Due to the continued interest by GIS professionals to provide workshops at GIS in the Rockies, the conference board decided to expand the program with four new workshops. Our diverse and growing GIS community is presented with an excellent spectrum of GIS topics that cover the range of introductory to highly advanced material. We hope everyone will take advantage of the opportunities offered in our expanded agenda," said Keith Hangland, Workshop Coordinator and Vice-Chair of the GIS in the Rockies 2002 Board of Directors.
The new workshops are
- Annotation Placement
- Downloading, Formatting, and Using USGS Spatial Data Sets Within ESRI GIS Products
- True Ortho Imagery and Digital Surface Models with GIS
- Career Development
Dave Murray, Chair of this year’s Board, added, "We are pleased to be able to further strengthen the program and increase the value we provide to the GIS community."
All workshops are described on the conference web site, www.GISintheRockies.org. Significant savings are available to those who register by August 15.
Workshops will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2002. The conference will continue on Wednesday and Thursday with concurrent technical sessions and an exhibition. The conference theme is "GIS from Start to Finish."
