GiveMePower Accepted As Microsoft Mobile Solutions Partner 05.22.2002
GiveMePower Corporation, a provider of desktop, portable and wireless solutions for the design/build industry, announced company acceptance into Microsoft Corporation’s Mobile Solutions Partner Program. As a Microsoft Mobile Solutions Partner, the company will benefit from the resources and strength of Microsoft to underpin development and marketing of the company’s PowerCAD CE computer-aided design solutions for Windows CE 3.0 based handheld computing devices.
The Microsoft Mobile Solutions Partner Program is a worldwide initiative bringing together a like-minded community of software developers to build and expand the mobile information revolution. The program is a key focus for Microsoft in enabling partners to develop and market cutting-edge solutions based on Microsoft’s mobility platforms and technologies.
Three PowerCAD CE versions – PowerCAD CE Viewer ($99), PowerCAD CE Classic ($249) and PowerCAD CE Pro ($495) facilitate complete CAD processing in the field or on the shop floor, allowing billions of designs and digital blueprints saved in industry standard DWG, DXF or FLX file formats to be viewed, marked-up, edited or created on Pocket PC’s and Handheld PC’s running Microsoft’s Windows CE 3.0 mobile operating system.
With hundreds of intuitive and industry compliant commands, PowerCAD CE runs as a completely self-contained portable CAD system, or as a mobile extension for PowerCAD Pro, AutoCAD and other leading desktop systems. For the ultimate mobile CAD experience, PowerCAD CE Pro features advanced 2D and 3D functionality and complete system customization using LISP and Visual C++ programming.
Utilizing Microsoft ActiveSync or built-in wireless data transfer utilities, information can be transferred, wirelessly if properly equipped, between mobile workers and a company’s internal computing network using Pocket PC’s such as Compaq’s iPAQ, Hewlett Packard’s Jornada and Cassio’s Cassiopeia, or ruggedized handheld PC’s such as At Work Computers’ Ranger 200C, Advantech Automation Corporation’s MobiPanel or Panasonic Corporation’s Toughbook 01.
For commercial, corporate and government enterprises, PowerCAD CE is available within the company’s low-cost PowerENGINE Software Development System. A scalable, component-based development platform, PowerENGINE embedded applications can range from design engineering solutions for architecture, engineering, construction, GIS and manufacturing to business engineering solutions such as emergency/911 planning, sales automation and facilities management.
