MoreLeica Geosystems Inc., of Norcross, Ga. and Carlson Software Inc., of Maysville, Ky. are pleased to announce the release of the Carlson SurvCE Freeware Promotion. The Carlson SurvCE Freeware Promotion is an innovative marketing program designed to place Carlson SurvCE at the forefront of the survey data collection market.
Carlson SurvCE Complete with Advanced Roading features (a $2995 value) will be offered as a "trial" version to customers through Leica resellers and downloadable from the Leica Advantage website (www.leicaadvantage.com). The software is provided with an electronic version of the reference manual and can be easily registered online. This software will function for 90 days. At the end of this trial period, the software becomes Carlson SurvCE Basic. Carlson SurvCE Basic will have reduced functionality but will continue to drive all robotic and conventional total stations as well as RTK GPS. Even with reduced functionality, Carlson SurvCE Basic will be a strong data collection product offering such features as point stakeout, resections and area calculations. Carlson SurvCE Basic can be used as freeware indefinitely. At any time during the trial of Carlson SurvCE Complete with Advanced Roading or after the trial when using Carlson SurvCE Basic, the customer can purchase a fully licensed version of Carlson SurvCE.
