Questerra Selects ImageLinks Active Archive BC 04.10.2002

System to serve as the raster data production engine for Questerra’s recently launched Web-based spatial information management service.

Questerra has purchased an Active Archive BC system from ImageLinks to serve as the raster data production engine for Questerra’s recently launched Web-based spatial information management service.

Questerra provides technology that enables the business enterprise to visualize and analyze information in a geospatial perspective for more informed decision making. The Questerra technology combines enterprise data from business support systems with value-added spatial data in an interactive Web-based application suite. This customized spatial data is being generated by the Active Archive BC system purchased from ImageLinks.

The Active Archive BC series is a high-end, full-functionality raster data delivery and management system with “super-computing” processing via a high-capacity Beowulf Cluster. The Active Archive BC implemented by Questerra includes a 32-processor cluster integrated into Questerra’s Sun ONE infrastructure. ImageLinks delivered Questerra’s Active Archive BC system preloaded with Landsat 7 imagery, U.S. elevation data sets, and USGS Digital Raster Graphics datasets. In generating end products, the Active Archive BC will process these internally stored files with any external raster data supplied by Questerra or its clients.
