In recognition of National Geography Awareness Week from November 18-22 and National GIS Day on November 20, the local Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA-CAC-Central Appalachian Chapter) will be sponsoring the Three Rivers GEO Expo on Nov. 20, 2002 in the City County Building in downtown Pittsburgh
The Expo is comprised of two sessions. There will be a map gallery on display from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm that consists of projects in the Pittsburgh and Alleghany County region that affect the public and reflect the activities of local groups and agencies. Demonstrations will also be conducted between 11:00 and 1:00 pm reflecting state of the art geography technology. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
