Atwell-Hicks Wins Sixth Consecutive Washtenaw Fast Track Award 05.27.2003

The annual FastTrack Awards honor fast-growing Washtenaw County, Mich., private and public companies.

Development consulting firm Atwell-Hicks Inc. (AHI) yesterday won its sixth consecutive FastTrack Award from the Washtenaw Development Council - the only company ever to do so, announced Bob Macomber, AHI president and CEO.

AHI was one of 11 companies selected for the sixth annual FastTrack Awards, which honor fast-growing Washtenaw County private and public companies. To be eligible, companies had to earn annual gross revenues of at least $100,000 in 1999 and achieve average annual growth of 20 percent or more in the following three years.

AHI's revenue growth has averaged least 20 percent annually for the last 10 years, with revenues exceeding $25 million in 2002. The 98-year-old firm has received numerous recognitions for its record expansion and exceptional client service, including inclusion in the prestigious Engineering News-Record (ENR) list of Top 500 U.S. design firms. AHI's 2003 ENR ranking climbed to 324 on that list, up from 485 in 1999.

"We're honored to receive this award for the sixth straight year, especially in this tough economic environment. Atwell Hicks continues to grow - after 98 years in business - because we understand that simply providing excellent technical skills is not enough. We have to add value to the income side of a client's ledger by acting as development consultants, advising them how to maximize the value of their real estate investment," said Macomber, who was also the keynote speaker at yesterday's FastTrack 2003 awards breakfast.
