MorePCI Geomatics appointed John Cheng as the company's new reseller manager for North Asia. As part of the growing PCI Geomatics International Sales Team, Mr. Cheng will be responsible for meeting the geomatics needs of the North Asia market by providing customers with high productivity geomatics software solutions such as Geomatica.
John Cheng has over 8 years of sales experience in the Asian market, notably in China and Japan. Prior to joining PCI Geomatics, Mr. Cheng served as the International Sales Manager of Virtek Vision Corp., a global leader in the application of laser technology for templating and imaging, where he successfully initiated the Asian sales network and established a branch office in Japan. During his time there, he also planned OEM centers in Singapore and implemented both an international dealer certificate training program and an international sales and marketing business model.
John Cheng holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut, a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the Tung Hai University, and is currently working towards his Master of Software Engineering degree. Mr. Cheng, a member of the China External Trade Development Council, holds various international trade certificates and was nominated for the Canadian Export Award from the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. Mr. Cheng is fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English and has basic knowledge of Japanese and Spanish.
