The Community College of Baltimore County at Catonsville, and Towson University, teamed up to offer a four-year geography degree with emphasis on surveying. The first two years of the program will contain all of the Catonsville surveying and survey-engineering courses, with students and their credits transferable to Towson for years three and four. Advanced survey courses (including law) will be added to Towson's curriculum on an as-needed basis. The program is expected to be fully operational by fall 2001.
