The trade-in offer applies to TDS Recon and Ranger data collectors with Survey Pro software.

Tripod Data Systems (TDS) announced a new offer for customers who trade in any data collector other than an HP 48 for a new Ranger bundle or TDS Recon with Survey Pro 4.0 software. The trade-in allowance is $600 for a Recon 200/400 or Ranger 200C with Survey Pro; $900 for Survey Pro Robotic or Survey Pro GPS; and $1,200 for Survey Pro Max.

The trade-in promotion is valid for Recon or Ranger and Survey Pro bundles purchased between October 4 and December 31, 2004. The data collector to be traded in must be complete and working. Additional information and trade-in rules are available at www.tdsway.com/promotions.

About TDS software and hardware

The TDS Recon and Ranger rugged data collectors meet stringent military standards for drops, vibration and temperature extremes. Both also come with an IP67 rating, meaning they're impermeable to water and dust.

The Recon runs Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PCs and includes a color touchscreen display. The Ranger runs the Windows CE .NET operating system and features a 57-key tactile keypad and color touchscreen.

TDS Survey Pro surveying software is a complete data collection and field computation package for surveyors and other field professionals. In addition to traverse and sideshot routines and a full suite of COGO tools, Survey Pro features advanced routines for road layout, coordinate geometry, staking, adjustment, attribute collection and DTM. The latest version, Survey Pro 4.0, includes multiple workflow enhancements, including an Instrument Manager, editable favorites and GPS cell phone support.
