MicroSurvey announced the MicroSurvey Tracker data collector. The MicroSurvey Tracker features Windows CE.NET Professional 4.2 running on an Intel XScale processor. It supports a variety of removable peripheral devices, such as wireless LANs, modems, bar code readers, cameras and Bluetooth-enabled devices. With temperature specifications to 14º F/-10º C, a 320 x 240 sunlight readable touchscreen, LED backlight and a 48-key membrane keypad, the Tracker comes standard with an RS-232 serial port configured via its DB9 connector. The MicroSurvey Tracker has 64 Mb of SDRAM and 128 Mb of secure internal memory, which can be expanded to 256 Mb. It is available in 200 Mhz and 400 Mhz models. The unit comes with a standard NiMH rechargeable battery and can run on six AA batteries with no adapter required. The Basic and Pro modules of MicroSurvey's FieldGenius data collection software are included on all Trackers. (MicroSurvey, Westbank, British Columbia, Canada)
