Sanborn sold its San Antonio office to its long-time partner, Tri-State.

John Copple, CEO of Sanborn, a Colorado Springs-based geographic information system (GIS) and photogrammetry industry provider, announced today the signing of a definitive agreement with Tri-State Consulting Services, Inc. to sell Sanborn's San Antonio office to Tri-State.

A long-time Sanborn partner, Tri-State Consulting Services is a mapping company whose primary business focus is cadastral mapping, annual maintenance, aerial photography, custom applications software, and web-based map solutions. The recent growth of the company's business brought an increased need for additional resources. Tri-State chose Sanborn's San Antonio office for its stable market focus, on-site production capabilities and applications. After the acquisition, Tri-State's Texas office will do business as Williams-Stackhouse, Inc.

The sale is part of Sanborn's ongoing efforts to refine its overall business strategy and market focus. Sanborn and Williams-Stackhouse will continue to team up to pursue new opportunities for aerial mapping services.
