MoreLeica Geosystems (SWX: LGSN) announced today that it has won several major orders in recent weeks for its new-generation System 1200 GPS receivers from surveying companies in western Canada.
A total of 151 units were ordered by several well-known survey companies with the largest single order coming from Wolf Survey and Mapping, a division of Destiny Resources. Other major companies purchasing similar System 1200 packages include Enviro-Tech Surveys, Raymac Surveys, Seisland Surveys, and Datum Surveys. They are being used for staking out seismic lines, setting survey control and other applications.
