The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) will present its 28th annual conference, Crossing Boundaries, March 6-9, 2004 at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado, USA. The conference focuses on geographic information systems (GIS) and other geospatial technologies as they relate to government agencies; electric, water, and gas utilities; telecommunication organizations; and pipeline companies. Topics to be addressed at the conference include mobile and wireless technologies, network operations management, leveraging the Web, e-business, critical infrastructure protection, homeland security, interoperability, and much more. A dozen seminars at the conference will offer attendees the opportunity to concentrate on key issues that are critical to successful geospatial project planning and implementation. The technical program will feature more than 200 speakers who will present conference papers on a wide variety of GIS-related topics. A product and services exhibition on a 100,000-square-foot show floor will showcase the latest offerings in geospatial solutions. All these things, combined with plenty of networking opportunities, will make GITA's Annual Conference 28 one of the premier geospatial events of the year.
