Trimble announced that it will hold its International User Conference Oct. 23-26, 2005 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. With more than 100 sessions planned, Trimble Dimensions 2005 will focus on applying technology to the needs faced daily by surveying, construction, and civil engineering professionals.

The theme of Trimble Dimensions 2005 is Move Your Business Forward with an emphasis on improving productivity and lowering costs through the application of positioning, wireless and software technologies. The conference will feature a wide range of programs including presentations on the underlying technologies, sessions on applying technology to real world problems, introductory and advanced product training, and practical tips and techniques to help organizations grow their business and maximize return on investment (ROI). Many of the application sessions will utilize Trimble users to explain the practical use of technology in surveying, civil engineering, highway and heavy construction, site preparation, and construction vehicle fleet management, as well as other emerging applications.

The conference scope will include the complete suite of Trimble construction, survey, engineering and infrastructure solutions, including products from MENSI, Tripod Data Systems (TDS) and Applanix. Other technology providers who are Trimble partners will also participate in the conference to extend the conference's range of products and applications.

In addition, Trimble users are invited to present papers and give project updates at the Trimble Dimensions 2005 Conference. To present a paper at the conference, authors should be a user of Trimble solutions in the surveying, construction or civil engineering fields and must submit a short abstract on the topic or theme by April 29, 2005. All authors submitting an abstract will be asked to choose a category that best fits their presentation. Users who present papers at the conference can have them published on the Web and in the conference proceedings on CD-ROM.
