Leica Geosystems Names New Marketing VP for the Americas 08.22.2003

John Asaro assumes responsibility for all aspects of marketing for the Survey and Engineering Division in North and South America.

John Asaro has joined Leica Geosystems as vice president, marketing, for the Americas.

In his new position, Asaro assumes responsibility for all aspects of marketing for Leica Geosystems’ Survey and Engineering Division in North and South America, based in the regional headquarters in Norcross, Georgia. He will be responsible for developing marketing strategies to increase market share and expand the business into new market segments. He replaces Hugh Baertlein, who has been promoted to global sales manager for Leica Geosystems’ Consumer Products Division.

Prior to joining Leica Geosystems, Asaro was general manager and director of marketing for Ben Meadows Company, a professional outdoor equipment catalog and internet company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Previous positions include marketing positions with Ralston Purina Company and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles Advertising. He earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri.
