Optech Incorporated announced that Perry DesRosiers has accepted the position of regional sales manager, Canada, South & Central America, for the Terrestrial Survey Division. DesRosiers has been with Optech since 2003 as a sales representative for the Laser Imaging Division and brings a wealth of success and experience in the geospatial industry to this new position in the Terrestrial Survey Division.

DesRosiers' new position is the latest in Optech's continuing effort to streamline the ALTM sales team across geographic regions, thus giving a stronger and more focused sales experience to its customers. Before joining Optech, DesRosiers held the position of regional sales manager, Central USA and Canada, at Thales Navigation. DesRosiers has also held sales positions with Trimble Navigation Ltd. and Cansel Survey Equipment.

Optech's ALTM for airborne laser terrain mapping provides data acquisition rates of up to 100,000 pulses per second and innovative options such as intensity, full waveform digitization, simultaneous first/last pulse measurement, roll compensation, and digital camera integration. With more systems in operation worldwide than any other airborne laser mapping instrument, ALTM is the solution of choice where fast, detailed and accurate topographic elevation data are needed.
