RADARSAT International (RSI) was recognized as the top North American reseller of DigitalGlobe’s high-resolution QuickBird imagery at DigitalGlobe’s Annual Reseller Conference on February 4, 2003. The announcement comes fifteen months after the initial signing of a three-year distribution agreement between the two companies.

“RSI’s success confirms our original decision to appoint them as the sole Canadian reseller of worldwide data from the QuickBird satellite,” said Herb Satterlee, President of DigitalGlobe. “We originally selected RSI based on its experience and track record as a reliable and responsive distributor of Earth-observation data, and have since determined that the hard work and dedication of their sales team is what has allowed us to effectively reach our mutual clients.”

“Our innovative approaches to the market and our ability to blend traditional remote sensing markets with new markets that are particularly suited to high resolution data, were all contributors to our success,” says Kevin O’Neill, North American Sales Director for RSI.

“We are very excited to receive this recognition from DigitalGlobe which reinforces the fact that beyond our core RADARSAT business, RSI is well diversified in terms of the markets being addressed with the sensors, products and services being offered,” says Phil S. Gray, RSI’s President.

The quality of RSI’s staff was also recognized with Tor Henderson, RSI’s North American Sales Manager, being appointed as the North American QuickBird Representative of the Year.
