MoreNavCom Technology’s Director of Wireless Communication Products Jalal Alisobhani announced that communications industry professionals who missed the debut of NavCom’s Safari Network SR-7100 at last month’s COMNET Expo, where it was awarded a COMNET Expo New Product Achievement Award, will have another opportunity to see the Safari Network in action at the CTIA Wireless 2003 show in New Orleans, March 17-19.
Recognized for its innovation and success in addressing the needs of today’s enterprise IT environment, the Safari Network is a mobile data communications network that extends the functionality of the wired local area network (LAN) into vehicles or remote sites. Through the innovative technology of the SR-7100 Mark II, the Safari Network provides secure high-speed Packet, Serial and IP services for simultaneous data, voice and video communication in the license-free ISM band. Each “cell site” offers up to a 20-mile radius of coverage with unlimited extension capability via additional cell site to overcome signal blockage or to create a seamless multi-cell network. The Safari Network provides a private and secure network through a proprietary modulation scheme and single-point network management, which is ideal for many mobile applications where the exchange of information is time critical, sensitive or otherwise unavailable.
NavCom will exhibit the capabilities of the Safari Network with real-time demonstrations during CTIA Wireless 2003. Typical applications of the SR-7100 include machine control, automatic vehicle location, security surveillance, campus and municipality WLAN, military data transfer and public safety services.
