The Geospatial One-Stop Version 2 Portal Request for Quote (RFQ) was released October 18, 2004, on the GSA Schedule as RFQ 1435-04-05-RP-36180. This procurement has been listed on Schedule 70 under SIN 132 51 which ensures that state and local governments can also take advantage of the contract.

All vendors holding SIN 132 51 on their contract with GSA were automatically notified of the solicitation via E-mail. Those vendors that are not holders of Schedule 70 SIN 132 51 contracts are also invited to submit a proposal, but should recognize that the hundreds of companies who have already negotiated government prices when they became Schedule holders are likely to have a significant cost advantage. A copy of the RFQ can be requested by non-Schedule holders by emailing geodata@fgdc.gov and including the exact phrase GOS RFQ REQUEST in the subject line of the message.

There will be a pre-proposal conference to answer questions about this solicitation on October 27, 2004, in Reston, Virginia. The proposal deadline is November 15, 2004. The anticipated award date is January 3, 2005.
