NavCom Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deere & Company, announced that GPSWest Inc. has chosen to use NavCom Technology GPS receivers for their machine control systems and their construction survey solutions. GPSWest's blade control systems are used on bulldozers and construction equipment for grading and other earth moving applications. Their system utilizes NavCom's NCT-2030M or SF-2050M receivers that are combined with a WalkAbout touch screen computer and Pacific Crest SiteCom radios to provide an RTK machine control system capable of guiding the blade's edge with centimeter precision. GPSWest also provides construction survey systems using NavCom's SF-2040G receiver for grade planning and site stakeout applications.
