MoreINLINE Corporation has been selected by ESRI to manufacture the first ArcGIS Enterprise GIS In-A-Box (EGIS). EGIS is an immediately deployable system for enterprise GIS applications, all in one cabinet and from one source.
Under this agreement, INLINE Corporation, a quality manufacturer of advanced storage systems and storage appliances for more than 10 years, will manufacture and support complete one-cabinet, enterprise-level GIS systems. In EGIS, ESRI users will find a completely integrated hardware and software environment in optimized configurations tested by ESRI and INLINE. This EGIS system not only includes the system and application software that you need but also provides them to your site pre-installed, pre-configured, and pre-tested by INLINE. These systems, which were demonstrated at the 2004 ESRI International User Conference in San Diego the week of August 9, are complete with operating system software, integrated ESRI GIS software, database software, and fully configured storage area network from INLINE. In most cases, on-site installation can be accomplished in one day. According to Ken Casazza, Vice President of Corporate Development at INLINE, this product will be the cornerstone of INLINE's evolution from being solely a storage system manufacturer to being a storage system and storage-centric system manufacturer.
