MoreAvatech Solutions Inc. announced a call for entries to its 3rd annual rendering contest. Avatech is accepting submissions from the areas of architecture, manufacturing/mechanical and civil/GIS, as well as from students. Interested applicants are invited to submit as many images as they wish by April 16, 2004. This year, Avatech will choose a winner for each category. In addition, the grand prize winner will be awarded a Carnival cruise line certificate for $2,000 that can be used as they wish. Category winners will each receive a $250 gift certificate from Amazon.
Entries must be created using one or more of the following products: Autodesk VIZ (or 3D Studio VIZ), 3ds max (or 3D Studio MAX), Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or any AutoCAD-based solutions. Judging is based on technical skill required, degree of difficulty, photo-realism and aesthetics.
