Eagle Point released Version 8 of its SMI field surveying product line. Software enhancements include: Bluetooth support, the addition of more than 4,000 geographic coordinate systems, support for GEOID 96/99/03, improved drivers for Topcon GPS and SMI Flex GPS systems, built-in SMI Transfer to field devices enabling USB and wireless job transfers, intelligent touch screen buttons, a new Windows interface, a Note Sequencing routine and 300+ new commands. Included in the 300+ new commands is a complete set of HP 48 functions allowing for virtually 100% HP functionality. This release also supports a number of new hardware devices: Juniper Systems' 400 MHz Allegro CX data collector, Pacific Crest's 35 Watt PDL radio family and the Pocket 2003/.NET Windows Operating Systems.
