This free software enables the visualization of point-cloud-based survey projects.

InnovMetric Software announced that it has just released PolyWorks/IMView, a free software that enables the visualization of point-cloud-based survey projects. PolyWorks/IMView is a user-friendly solution that allows users to: § Visualize extracted elements in 3D by browsing through extracted elements such as cross-sections, sharp edges, and other feature lines (e.g. road lines, pipe center lines, electrical cables). § Perform basic interactive measurements, such as lengths, heights, angles, radii, volumes, and cross-sections. § Generate personalized reports in Excel, Word, or HTML formats. "With PolyWorks/IMView, we want to offer to professionals in the surveying world the possibility of easily communicating their results to their colleagues, customers, and suppliers", said Marc Soucy, President of InnovMetric Software. "Until today, the channels of information used to share results across organizations have been rather ineffective. This very simple yet powerful tool now allows everyone in the company, from top executives to technicians on the field, to access survey results in 3D directly on their personal computers and to make their own analyses and reports", he continued.
