Siteplan is simple desktop PC software for construction layout and Law Enforcement Applications scene diagramming.

MicroSurvey Software Inc. and Sokkia Corporation announced new software for the forensics and construction markets: Sokkia Siteplan powered by MicroSurvey CAD 2005. Siteplan is simple desktop PC software for construction layout and Law Enforcement Applications (LEA) scene diagramming. Siteplan runs inside the MSCAD2005 Basic engine. Siteplan comes with software assistants designed to follow the customer's natural workflow. The Construction Assistant walks users through the process of opening a CAD drawing, converting CAD objects to points, creating a point file and uploading to a total station for stakeout. The LEA Assistant follows the steps required to diagram a forensic scene. Siteplan is pre-configured to communicate with Sokkia total stations, reducing the user's need to select complex configuration parameters. Additional formats for most major third-party products are also supported. Siteplan's unique "Scale Architect's Drawing" feature allows a user to change from architectural units to real-world decimal coordinates with the click of a single menu button. Automated Mapping is included to generate symbols into a drawing with minimal CAD effort. Users can customize menus and open up the complete MSCAD Basic menu at any time.
