The addition of PCI Geomatics provides federal employees in the U.S. with access to the company's selection of geospatial software solutions for remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, and map production.

The General Services Administration (GSA) has added PCI Geomatics to its list of products and services approved for "GSA Advantage!" purchasing, the federal government's online shopping site. With millions of products and services, GSA Advantage! provides a one-stop-shopping source to meet procurement needs. The addition of PCI Geomatics provides federal employees in the United States with access to the company's selection of geospatial software solutions for remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, and map production.

US Federal customers can order PCI Geomatics software using the GSA price list at discounted rates. This greatly simplifies the ordering and approval process, passing the purchase savings on to the Federal government and - ultimately - the purchasing department's yearly budget.

The General Services Administration was established on July 1, 1949, as a result of a presidential commission. The goals of the GSA are to avoid "senseless duplication, excess cost, and confusion in handling supplies," as well as to provide space for the Government to do its work. To fully support Federal employees, GSA provides everything from workplaces, security, and supplies to telecommunications, travel services, fleet and personal property management, and child care centers.

Geomatica 9 is PCI Geomatics' newest "all-in-one" geospatial software solution released to customers earlier this year. Enhanced remote sensing and GIS capabilities, map production, hyperspectral tools, and an exclusive hyperspectral data compression technology top the list of new features found in Geomatica 9. A completely integrated solution, Geomatica 9 provides geomatics capabilities and productivity enhancing features within a seamless environment for remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, and cartographic processing.
