Civil 3-D application reduces time spent on modeling, presentations and approvals.

Avatech Solutions Inc., Baltimore, Md., announced that the company has become an authorized reseller of Rapid Design Visualization (RDV), an application for Autodesk Civil 3D which enables the rapid and easy creation of high quality visualization and simulation scenes of any Civil 3D project.

RDV dramatically reduces the time required to create design simulations and presentations, and to get through approval processes significantly reducing project timelines and approval iterations. This translates into reduced project costs and a high return on investment for planners and developers.

When an engineer designs a road, there are different types of constraints that the roadway has to accommodate, such as vertical curves, site distances, etc. With RDV, an engineer can take a roadway design and actually go on a simulated 'drive through' that allows for a 100 percent modelling experience of the roadway.
