MoreAtwell-Hicks, one of the fastest growing land development consulting firms in the country has appointed Brian R. Wenzel, PE, as the firm's new president. Wenzel will also continue to serve as chief operating officer. Board chairman and CEO Robert G. Macomber, PE/PS, made the announcement.
Wenzel joined Atwell-Hicks in 1994 and led the firm's organizational transition to a market-sector structure centered on private-sector development consulting. Wenzel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a licensed professional engineer in five states and a member of the National Homebuilders Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, American Society of Engineers and Urban Land Institute. A Brighton, Michigan resident, Wenzel was voted a 40 under 40 professional by Crain's Detroit Business in 2002.
Macomber is relocating to the Tampa Bay area to lead the company's expansion efforts in Florida, the firm's first non-Midwest market. The Florida operations will also launch the company's Go National strategic growth plan.
Macomber also announced that the board appointed Vice President Daniel E. McNulty, PE, as corporate secretary and William J. Burris, CPA, as corporate treasurer, both of whom have served on the board for three years.
