SECO Bracket, Kevlar Pole & Truck Door Mount

SECO Manufacturing Company Inc. created a new Vehicle Interior Controller/Collector Bracket to hold all types of data collectors or controllers.

SECO Manufacturing Company Inc. created a new Vehicle Interior Con-troller/Collector Bracket (part number 5199-5X) to hold all types of data collectors or controllers. Its easy-to-mount fixtures place the bracket on either the windshield or the dashboard of the vehicle, providing easy reading and access to the collector or controller from the comfort and safety of the vehicle. As with all SECO ball-and-joint-style collector/controller brackets, freedom of movement is nearly unlimited so that a comfortable tilt position can easily be set up.

SECO also introduced a new series of Kevlar prism poles and GPS rover rods. Lightweight Kevlar is five times stronger than steel, yet is 43 percent lower in density than fiberglass, which makes it less likely to buckle or crush under pressure. In addition, it is resistant to wear, corrosion, fatigue and flame. These new SECO Kevlar poles and GPS rover rods have features similar to the existing SECO carbon fiber equivalents but have the added advantage of being non-conductive.

In addition, SECO introduced the new SECO Truck Door Mount (part number 5114-20-FLY) specifically for GPS or RTK poles. This setup is perfect for grade checking, topos, estimating and site preparation work. This new mount is easy to set up and take down; it firmly attaches itself to the door of the surveyor's vehicle so that the door functions, such as opening and closing, or window operations, are not impeded in any way. It uses a safety strap under tension to securely hold the bracket in place. The mount fits all mid-size to full-size trucks and SUVs. (SECO, Redding, Calif.)
