MoreGeneral CADD Products Inc. announced the release of General CADD Pro Version 3.1.12. This all-new computer-aided drafting and design software product features a user-friendly two-letter command structure, complete Windows functionality, a powerful Macro programming language, 32-bit accuracy and compatibility with important CADD file formats. The efficient generic CADD command structure, style and emulation is a main feature.
Version 3.1.12 now includes four new Surveyor Specific commands (BQ, BG, BL, BD), added to assist surveyors in their daily tasks. Tasks include R/L angle traverses, bearing traverses, side shots, radial stakeouts, setout, line labels, fore bearings and distances, and backsight. Either Degrees or Gradians/Gons and US Quadrant or Azimuth settings may be used. These setting commands are available through both prompt line input and through a Windows Dialog. Importing, tracing and scaling of Geo-Tiff images is also supported.
A new Surveyor's Corner section has been added to the General CADD Support forum to assist in the use, explanation and continued expansion of these very specific command additions.
The price for a single-seat license of General CADD Pro is $599.00 US. This license includes the program and an on-screen manual in HTML format and unlimited Forum and e-mail support. Future program upgrade releases will cost $399.00. An "next version" pre-purchase option at the time of initial purchase is available for $199.00 US. Special arrangements for educational institutions are also available.
