Vertical Mapping Resources Announces New Contracts

VMR has been awarded contracts in California, Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Scottsdale, Arizona-based Vertical Mapping Resources (VMR) is providing black-and-white orthophotography, digital terrain models including 2' contours, and design scale planimetrics of Black Canyon City roughly 45 miles north of Phoenix, AZ. The region being mapped will consist of 12 square miles and will cover Black Canyon City along with some of its adjacent Agua Fria River and I-17 Freeway areas. The project is being conducted for Yavapai County Flood Control and will help in its efforts to secure that area.

Vertical Mapping Resources recently revisited their Award Winning Centerline Light Rail Project in Orange County, California in order to make 500 ft expansions to each side of the rail's corridor. The project consisted of black-and-white orthophotography, digital terrain models and 1' contours, and design scale planimetrics of the Centerline Rail Project area that when completed will run from the Santa Ana Transportation Center on Grand Avenue, down Bristol Street to South Coast Plaza and the nearby Performing Arts Center. All mapping was created in, and delivered, in CALTRANS mapping standards.

Vertical Mapping Resources (VMR) is providing black-and-white orthophotography, digital terrain models including 2' contours, and design scale planimetrics of the 550 acre sewer line site of Clifford Township. The project, which will aid local developers, will include 3 flight paths over and near Pennsylvania's Crystal Lake located just 20 miles north of Scranton.

Vertical Mapping Resources (VMR) is providing black-and-white orthophotography, digital terrain models including 2' contours, and design scale planimetrics of a large area located within the heart of California's growing Kern County near Bakersfield. VMR will also be printing a set of 24"x36" reverse-reading mylar plots of the project at a scale of 1"=100' for the Kern County Records Department.

Vertical Mapping Resources (VMR) is providing black-and-white orthophotography, digital terrain models including 1' contours, and design scale planimetrics of over 22 square miles of Arizona's Poquito Valley. The project is being conducted for Yavapai County Flood Control and will help in its efforts to develop that area. Prescott Valley, which borders Poquito to the south, has also had VMR's assistance on creating a town-wide mapping and orthophoto basemapping. According to Joseph Bartorelli, VMR's president, the mapping is being prepared at a scale of 1"=40' and is designed to meet National Map Accuracy Standards (NMAS) and ASPRS Class 1 accuracy, per client request. "This is our second mapping and digital orthophotography project for Yavapai County Flood and we look forward to strengthening our relationship." said Bartorelli.
