The Canal Scanner boasts a non-contact surveying system, capable of surveys to canal banks, riverbanks and cliff faces. It is ideal for use in dangerous and inaccessible areas, perfect for applications such as beach profiling.

Based on proven laser scanning technology, the Canal Scanner allows continuous slow or high speed scans of above water features. Scans can be taken from small or large vessels at speeds of around 15m per second. The data achieved by these scans forms 6D corrected laser point cloud data which can be visualised, recorded and manipulated by editing and exporting to a wide variety of CAD mapping packages.

Utilizing existing positioning and motion reference products the Canal Scanner comes with its own "˜plug and play' logging, editing and monitoring Windows-based software, which is easy to navigate and very user-friendly.
