Rhode Island Society of Professional Surveyors Donates to Habitat for Humanity

The Rhode Island Society of Professional Land Surveyors will be donating $5000.00 to the Habitat for Humanity of Rhode Island-Greater Providence, Inc. Accepting the donation will be Herman deKoe, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Rhode Island-Greater Providence, Inc. RISPLS will be giving the donation on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 7:00pm in the Radisson Hotel on Post Road in Warwick, Rhode Island. This donation will benefit the Tsunami Relief, in helping to rebuild homes and structures that were lost in this great disaster. The donation will come from the RISPLS's Pierre H. Guillemette Scholarship. This scholarship is an annual fund that is available to any Rhode Island resident who is enrolled in a course of study leading to a certificate program or degree in land surveying. The scholarship fund marks a continuing commitment by RISPLS toward the advancement of surveying education.
