The WA80-5 features a 12,434 lb. operating weight and a 10,164 lb. breakout force. To respond quickly to varying conditions, the WA80-5 is equipped with a Hydrostatic Transmission (HST) that is switchable in all directions under full power. Limited slip differentials in both axles provide added productivity and force, and a 100 percent locking differential feature also is available.
Komatsu buckets offer the best penetration performance and optimum filling capacity. Accordingly, the WA80-5 has a class-leading payload of 4,065 lb. The rear-axle oscillation allows for excellent scooping and provides outstanding stability. In addition, the 18.6 mph top speed allows for fast relocation of the machine.
Other productivity enhancements include:

Improved Operator Comfort and Safety
The cab of the WA80-5 is large and ergonomically designed with large storage areas and easy entry. A long wheelbase provides superior traveling comfort, and the machine offers optional ride control. For increased visibility, the WA80-5 has larger windows, a delta boom, an elevated cab, a sloped engine hood and a narrow tail.
Serviceability Keeps Machines Up and Running
Designed with rental companies and fleet owners in mind, the WA80-5 is built for easy serviceability. The operator's cab is tiltable, allowing access to all major components in minutes. The longitudinally installed engine allows access to all sides of the engine block, and all filters, fill points and sight gauges are easy to reach. The radiator is freestanding for best cleaning access from both sides.
