Our prime pick.

Leica Geosystems, Norcross, Ga., released a new version of its TPS Data Pro data collection software for TPS1100 Professional Series Total Stations. TPS DataPro Version 2 supports all the new functions recently introduced in firmware Version 2.03 for the TPS1100, including robotic search windows, working areas, and high-productivity measuring and data management. Feature code lists used by TPS DataPro are fully compatible with the Leica GPS System 500, and may be created and edited in the field or office. TPS DataPro also now provides fully automated angle sets, allowing multiple angle sets to be measured automatically using Leica instruments with automatic target recognition. Other Version 2 improvements include support of QuickCode, permitting the user to measure and code points with only one or two keystrokes, and output to software packages and data formats. TPS DataPro provides direct output to Autodesk LDD, Intergraph, Carlson Survey, GeoPak and other major packages via FBK, SDR and SDMS formats. TPS DataPro Version 2 operates on all Leica TPS 1100 Professional Series Total Stations, including manual, reflectorless, robotic and robotic reflectorless instruments.
